LEXINGTON – U.S. Senate candidate Jim Gray out-raised Rand Paul by more than $90,000 in the pre-general report, with contributions totaling $232,274 for Gray and $139,576 for Paul. Gray has out-raised Paul in four of the five reporting periods in 2016, and by more than $2.3 million for the year.
“Mayor Gray once again outperforms Rand Paul – an incumbent U.S. Senator who ran for President,” said Gray spokeswoman Cathy Lindsey. “It looks like any fundraising network he built has failed him. Maybe his donors are realizing they can’t guarantee which campaign their contributions will go to. Mayor Gray continues to garner support from across the state.”
